![]() The very first program I wrote on my HP85 computer was to control this instrument: suck out the data and plot it up. ![]() I could store a buffer of 1,000 points in the instrument and suck them out with a computer using the HPIB bus. Forty years ago in my first job as a researcher at Bell Labs, I bought a data acquisition system capable of measuring two voltage channels to four digits at 100 samples per second.
